Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
In the event of theft or total loss, GAP coverage protects you by paying the difference between your auto insurance settlement and your loan balance. GAP also will pay $1,000 towards the purchase of a new vehicle. GAP coverage is available on all Wasatch Peaks Credit Union auto loans. Get a free GAP quote here.
Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP)
This insurance reduces the possibility that you'll have to pay for costly repairs when your vehicle has an unexpected failure. Benefits include nationwide protection, 24-hour roadside assistance, tire road hazard protection, rental vehicle assistance and transferable coverage if you sell your vehicle before your agreement expires.
Credit Life Insurance
Credit Life Protection would pay off your loan balance in the event that you were to die during the term of the loan. This insurance covers loans up to 120 months per loan and $50,000 maximum per loan and is available to members who qualify, up to age 70. Premiums must be paid on a monthly basis. Single and joint coverage is available.
Credit Disability Insurance
Disability Protection makes your loan payment to the credit union if you were to become disabled due to sickness or accident. Coverage is available up to 120 months per loan, $850 per month per loan and $50,000 maximum per year. Benefits are payable from the 31st day of disability forward. To be eligible you must be a member under age 66 and working at least 25 hours per week.
